World Aquarium
The World Aquarium, which was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1971, provides hands-on learning about our aquatic world. Its mission is to present, promote and protect the world of water and demonstrate sustainable living solutions. The goals of the World Aquarium are to increase the understanding of aquatic life and environments, to promote the importance of conserving the world of water, and to provide leadership for the preservation and sustainable use of aquatic resources. These goals are fulfilled through education, exhibits, conservation programming and research projects.
Since 1990, the World Aquarium has been providing educational programs and services to the St. Louis community by addressing needs identified from a regional educational analysis.
Climate Crisis Coalition
The Climate Crisis Coalition seeks to broaden the circle of individuals, organizations and constituencies engaged in the global warming issue, to link it with other issues and to provide a structure to forge a common agenda and advance action plans with a united front.
